In collaboration with the LAC-ACCESS project, travel grants are available for Latino American and Caribbean researchers to participate to Conferences taking place in the EU, in order to facilitate contacts and the creation of collaboration projects in the frame of Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for Research and Technological Development.

The aim of this grant scheme is to facilitate Latin American and Caribbean researchers’ access to specialized conferences, to promote exchange between them and European researchers as well as to encourage contacts between institutions so that they may explore possibilities for joint participation in the European Commission’s FP7.

To this end, relevant international conferences concerning the six priority areas of the LAC-ACCESS project will be identified (including ICT). These conferences, which will take place in Europe, will provide an opportunity for the researchers to meet their European counterparts and seek cooperation or possible partners for their own projects. They will also allow Latin American researchers to make their institutions and/or their research networks known in Europe, for future projects.
